The individual must demonstrate a clinical need arising from a condition due to mental behavioral, and emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities individuals must meet certain criteria on a continuing or intermittent basis.
· Have difficulty in establishing or maintaining normal interpersonal relationships to such a degree that they are at risk of hospitalization, homelessness, or isolation from social support.
· Exhibit such inappropriate behavior that repeated interventions by the mental health services or judicial systems are necessary.
· Exhibit difficulty in cognitive ability such that they are unable to recognize significantly inappropriate social behavior.
· Require help in basic living skills such as maintaining personal hygiene, preparing food and maintaining adequate nutrition or managing finances to such a degree that health or safety is in jeopardy.
Eligibility for IIH & TDT
Two of the following must be documented for the individual on a continuing or intermittent basis.
· Problems in establishing/maintaining impersonal normal relationships such that they are:
A. At risk for hospitalization
B. Out of home placement due to conflicts with family or community.
· Shows such inappropriate behavior that repeated interventions by:
a. Mental Health
b. Social Services
c. Judicial System
